These organizations emphasize prevention of mental and/or substance use disorders through educational programs, awareness campaigns, and other materials.

Association of Recovery Schools (ARS)

The Association of Recovery Schools (ARS) advocates for the promotion, strengthening, and expansion of secondary and post-secondary programs designed for students and families committed to achieving success in both education and recovery. ARS exists to support such schools which, as components of the recovery continuum of care, enroll students committed to abstaining from alcohol and other drugs and working a program of recovery.

Behavioral Health Services (BHS)

Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is a nonprofit organization that has provided a continuum of substance use, mental health, and senior services since 1973. Each of its 11 facilities (located throughout Los Angeles County) is based on its mission of transforming lives by offering hope and opportunities for recovery, wellness, and independence.

C4 Recovery Solutions, Inc.

The mission of C4 Recovery Solutions is to improve the accessibility and quality of substance use disorder treatment, and to promote long-term recovery solutions. C4 accomplishes this by initiating constructive dialogue about important issues in treatment and recovery; educating and motivating the substance dependency community and policymakers to adopt effective new treatment, program management, and payment strategies; and aiding in the design and implementation of programs that demonstrate the value of outcomes-informed funding systems for treatment and recovery services.
