Recovery-4-A-Change is a celebration of the tens of thousands of individuals living in our communities in sustained recovery. They are working, taking care of their families, maintaining homes and paying taxes and we appreciate and recognize them. The event does not promote any single path to recovery and involves many community-based groups and organizations all helping people recover. Free event features inflatables for kids, music by Acme Sound, face painting/balloon tying, HIV testing, hopeful and uplifting recovery stories, recognition/appreciation of our emergency responders saving lives and helping people start their journey to recovery, remarks from community leaders and political representatives, a limited number of free t-shirts for participants, free hot dogs, food vendors, fun and fellowship.
