An international essay contest sponsored by the ATTC Network in Partnership with Faces & Voices of Recovery and Facing Addiction. Personal stories are powerful! As a person in recovery, you bring a unique perspective about substance use and/or mental health disorders. Your story about your personal recovery journey can transform lives. In the tradition of the U.S.A.’s National Recovery Month, we are encouraging people across the globe who are in recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders to help us harness the power of stories by participating in an international essay contest. Submission deadline: December 31, 2016

The Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network is teaming up with Faces & Voices
of Recovery and Facing Addiction to celebrate National Recovery Month 2016 with an international essay contest. 

The essay contest invites
entries from people in recovery both in the United States and abroad, in recognition of the global reach of the recovery movement.  

 

In the tradition of the U.S.A.’s National Recovery Month, we are asking people across the globe who are in recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders to participate in this international essay contest and help us harness the power of stories.

  • Prizes will be awarded for the first, second, and third
    place entries.*
  • Entrants are encouraged to use person-first language and avoid promoting stigma.
  • A panel of judges will also select the top 20 essays, which will be compiled and shared internationally on ATTC and partnering websites, newsletters, and social media.
