Join Us: Healing From Addiction in Taos
“Strengthening Families and Communities”
It takes many hands to build a healthy life. Recovery from substance use disorders is possible with support from our community.
Please join Recovery-Friendly Taos in celebrating Recovery Month for our “Healing From Addiction in Taos” Forum to be held on Thursday, September 21, starting at 5:30 at the Kachina Lodge.
The focus of this event is to discuss the effects of drugs and alcohol abuse on families, friends, and our communities - and where to get help. Community resource booths will be present to provide information to family and friends of loved ones and those suffering from addiction.
Food and beverages will be provided. This event FREE, thanks to our sponsors.
We welcome community members, especially people in recovery from substance abuse, as well as their families, friends, professionals, elected officials and other allies throughout Taos County and surrounding communities. Please join us!
The event is being held in conjunction with SAMHSA’s National Recovery Month, which is sponsored by New Mexico Office of Peer Recovery and Engagement, Inside Out Recovery, Taos Alive Coalition, Golden Willow Counseling, Rio Grande ATP, Holy Cross Hospital, New Mexico Department of Human Services.
MISSION STATEMENT: Recovery-Friendly Taos County’s mission is promoting a recovery-friendly community through network development of supports, opportunities, access to services, education, and information. We are committed to reducing the barriers created by stigma and replacing it with hope and well-being.
