Details
Event Description:
Detroit Recovery Project is bringing awareness about a Families Against Narcotics (FAN) coalition in Detroit during Detroit Recovery Project's Town Hall meeting on September 19th. Please be advised that this is not an official Detroit FAN chapter, however, we're expecting this event to be very well attended by families impacted by addiction, community leaders, police enforcement, politicians and the community at-large. We will discuss addiction, recovery and the family as well as the uprising Opioid and Heroin Crisis plaguing Southeastern Michigan. There will also be a showing of the DRP documentary, Recovery Unscripted. This documentary takes a peek into the road to recovery with real people and jaw-dropping stories of their days battling addiction. Substance use disorder is the No. 1 public health problem in America.
