Voices for Recovery

Lois Law (02/11/2011)

I have been given a second chance to live my life again after years of horrific alcoholism that almost destroyed me to the point of death.  I have been given a gift of life that is so priceless today. I have been clean and sober for 21 years.  I am working with youth with SED and behavioral issues and families and giving back for the quality of life that I do not ever take for granted anymore.  I have been truly blessed by the prayers of my family and friends when I was still suffering and I am an answer to their prayers and mine. I pray for others that are still suffering today and have compassion and hope for a better way of life.  I am grateful for the sober and the purposeful life I lead today.  At 60, I am finally working towards my master's.  I have a beautiful relationship with my Creator God and I do not want to live any other way.  Thank God and loved ones who never gave up on me.  Blessings, Lois
