Advertising Bans Do Little to Limit Youth Alcohol Exposure

A new study suggests governmental intervention to limit underage exposure to alcohol advertisements have been of limited benefit. Researchers from the Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health studied aggressive Dutch regulations that sought to reduce youth exposure to alcohol advertising by restricting times during which alcohol ads may be aired on television or radio.
