April Ask the Expert Wendy Greene, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Wendy R. Greene, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the Assistant Director of Trauma and Critical Care and the Chairman of the Quality Improvement and Management Committee for Howard University Hospital and is an Assistant Professor of Surgery for the Howard University College of Medicine. She served as the Chairman of Howard University Hospital’s Quality Management Committee where she has championed best practices.  She holds positions on other national committees in the areas of trauma and critical care, most notably the American College of Surgeons’ District of Columbia Committee on Trauma, which developed a new trauma plan for the District of Columbia. She was also the Director of Program Development for the only Historically Black Colleges and Universities SAHMSA-awarded grant for Screening Brief Intervention and Referral Treatment (SBIRT) program training Howard University medical residents on SBIRT.
