The impact your organization can have by spreading a lasting message of recovery throughout your community can be beyond measure.
Recovery Month events, no matter how large or small, can go a long way in promoting the benefits of recovery. Search for Events in your area below for examples of events of all sizes that resulted in the dissemination of positive and personal messages of recovery in communities across the country.

This event recognizes the extraordinary achievements by individuals and programs providing public mental health and/or substance abuse services, and individuals in the community who are advocates for behavioral health and recovery populations. Award categories include Advocacy/Social Inclusion, Direct Service, Service Innovation, Systems Integration and Peer-to-Peer Support. Honorees are nominated by the community and selected by King County. Winners of the consumer poetry and poster contests will also be recognized, and will display their work. City Proclamations for Recovery Month will also be on display.

This will be a walk around all or parts of Lake Sacajawea in Longview, Wahington. There will be about 20 different agencies, in booths handing out materials and information that support and provide services for people and families who struggle with addiction and mental illness.
