NOVA Treatment Community is celebrating our third annual NOVA 1-2-3 Recovery Walk in September. The walk will take place on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at beautiful Heartland of America Park, downtown Omaha, NE. This walk focuses attention on recovery from substance use disorders through a variety of treatment resources and recovery support programs. Since 1984, NOVA's programs and services, including the following, have helped more than 7,000 individuals in our community to take charge and ultimately experience empowerment in their lives:
* Foster Care and In-home Services
* Residential treatment programs for adolescents and adults, and
* Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient programs

The NOVA 1-2-3 Recovery Walk on Saturday morning, September 14, at Heartland of America Park, promotes recovery from substance use and mental health problems through a wide range of treatment options. NOVA encourages families, friends, and co-workers to encourage and celebrate recovery from substance use. Proceeds from the NOVA 1-2-3 Recovery Walk supports NOVA's programs and services: Foster Care and In-Home Services, Residential Treatment Services for Adolescents and Adults, and Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient Services for Adolescents and Adults.

The rally will educate the community about substance use disorders and honor those living a healthy life in recovery. Activities are for all ages and consist of free food, live music, bounce houses, kids games and fun for the whole family. Speakers will be available throughout the day sharing personal stories, and discussing recovery in our community. Booths will provide information on substance use prevention and treatment, and local support groups.
