“Trauma and Chemical Use and Addiction” will be presented by Dr. Tana Bridge, Ph.D., LMSW; MSW Program Director, School of Social Work, Eastern Michigan University. Current research highlights the relationship between chemical use, addition and trauma.
This presentation by an award-winning trauma expert will review events involved with trauma exposure, trauma specific symptomology, the impact trauma has on the brain and on coping and subsequent substance use, and how to aid individuals struggling with trauma
and addiction. This program is part of the FREE, annual Dawn Farm Education Series. Anyone with a personal or professional interest is welcome to attend! Registration is not required. 1.5 hours of free C.E. approved by MCBAP (Michigan Certification Board for
Addiction Professionals) is offered for each program. A certificate to document attendance is provided on request. The Education Series is organized by Dawn Farm, a non-profit community of programs providing a continuum of chemical dependency services.
